wake - various vhs versions

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I think there are two (slightly) different versions of the VHS release, there are some minor differences in the colour-balance between them as I recall. I don't know anything about sound quality.

I know that the sound on a couple of commercial VHS tapes I own have degraded quite badly over the years while most of the others have survived quite well.

I suppose it could be that the individual tape you have wasn't stored in ideal conditions?

Its channel5 edition in good shape as the video transfer proved, maybe its due to the vhs device.

What is the quality of those commercial ebay versions like?

Sorry, I don't think I expressed myself clearly.

When I said this:

I was talking about other VHS tapes (films etc.) not copies of Wake.
