I'm still subscribed and get occasional posts, it seems to have quieted down a bit. Haven't posted on it myself for aeons.

it seems I can post on subjects other than 'song title word game'

Haha, crazy.

@Machine Regime
It's an old old old old newsgroup email list that I joined in 97 (though it had been running for years before that) where we talked crap about the Sisters and wondered when the new album was coming (sound familiar?). If memory serves, that's where Quiffboy first posted a link to his then-new Heartland forum. On the 24th January 2002 if the memberlist is correct!

which is autonomous and independent and NOT organised by us

The dominion mailing list is an internet mailing list devoted (or not so devoted) to The Sisters Of Mercy.
We neither approve nor disapprove of it. We don't post to it, and we read only the most remarkable bits which are forwarded to us occasionally by our groovy allies at Baxcorp.
The dominion list is not moderated, which means: no censorship, and ... no quality control.

Check it out, if you must, via http://toybox.twisted.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/dominion

but remember Von's First Law Of The Internet: "The net is allergic to truth, reason and humour".

I just wish I'd signed up as soon as I saw the email. I thought 'I'll do that later'. Which means I'll forever be tenth in the memberlist, rather than second or third. Least I snagged my name ;-)

Aw, just signed up again and got sent this familiar list of useful links (mostly defunct sadly). I pored over the content of these as a youth!

The Sisters of Mercy FAQ is somewhat out of date, it nevertheless has
some very good information and will let you know which topics have
been done to death previously on Dominion.

The original Sisters source in cyberspace, the 101% Unofficial Sisters
of Mercy website has a rich offering of including a photos, personnel
info and "oddities."

The Sisters of Mercy Tours website has loads of detail with tour
dates, reviews, photos, etc. Includes as special Tours FAQ.

Questions about the meaning of the lyrics in a TSOM song? Check out
1959 And All That for interpretations and other references.

There I was thinking I'd exhausted everything on the net about the girls, when all the time I evidently hadn't even started... Thanks Jim.
