yep.
claims to be official but apart from the mack remixes that have obviously had different production (and are pretty groovy as a result) most of it sounds a lot like eq'd versions of the album tracks to me.

some of the alternate versions are identical to the albums ones, but just have the first couple of seconds chopped off.
i could do that on my pc
having said that, the mack versions
are quite good - there's nothing new but they sound much beefier than the album versions...

WTF does "mack mix" mean anyway?
I saw 2 of the tapes once, with WEA labels. The 4 "mack mix" songs are off one of the tapes (each tape had 7 tracks on), and the tapes never said 4 of them were "mack mix". Those 4 tracks are the same 4 on "the last magician of rational thought", so I'm guessing "magician" was shortened to "mach" which mutated to "mack", and has no real meaning at all. A typical bootleggers f*ckup.

I wouldn't call it hidden, it's just not listed on the cover. It's Phantom, and doesn't seem to belong with the other recordings on the CD. Nothing special about it either.

the true story :
Pal boys had 3 tapes that comes directly from a WEA insider
2 tapes on tdk chrome tape with copymaster custom label/cover featuring demos tapes and pal choose 4 tracks for the release of Last Magician
All tracks on this 2 tape are easy notable demos like example Rock got an keyboard intro, different middle chorus ect. First & last has different test and riffle on the middle of songs ect.
last tape was simply (the label is the same the aboves) a 4 tracks sample for the forthcoming lp called First/last as state the sleeve and the songs are pretty the same of the lp release but chrome sound.
now the 3 above tapes are property of a big collector (maybe italian but not sure).
Later a copy of the 3 above tapes was put together on a c-90 tape and put on the circuit.
after the cd seller make a cd-r of lesser quality of the tape and add some others songs for make a quick money factory.
Same things for the K.G DEMOS 82 : are them all genuine !!!
no fakes, no session, no EQ remix at all
Years ago was discovered 2 demos tapes from the Andrew Pinnell (heartland fanzine editor) that he get directly from Ken Giles.
A copy only was done to pinnell mate called Mark W.
later the 2 copymaster was sold to Colman and to a french collector.
the tapes feauring the full lenght demos in studio quality (10/10)
A pirate get from someones a copy of this tape and after a treatment
all the songs was cutted, equalized, and dubbed for several times for to get a very loose quality. From this tape was done the ebay cd-r.
the lucky guys that own the original tapes can hear studio quality song in his integrity.
all those infos are accurate 100% and verified
