Isn't he more of a Dick Gaughan man than a Sisters fan?

From what I've heard of him he's a bit of a Dude. Either that or it's all just a bunch of Tree Hugging Hippie Crap.

Going into "Slebrity Big Brother" while he was still a constituency MP just suggests to me that he values self-publicism over doing his actual job. He had one of the worst attendance records at Westminster the last time he was an MP.

On the other hand, he's successfully traded on the disaffection with the "political establishment" among the Muslim community (largely caused by the ongoing nonsense in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, etc. etc.).

Whether he's a genuine man of principle or an opportunistic chancer, I leave as an exercise for the class.

Time will tell, but I certainly expect the worst - as Mark observes, his record so far is shamelessly opportunistic.

Even for a politician.

No different to Nick Griffin. A sh!t stirrer with a line in dubious grievance led identity politics. Serves Labour right for allowing postal vote fraud to go unchecked for so many years simply because it's benefitted them in the past. Now it's bitten them in the arse and they don't dare say anything.
He'll be booted at the next election like the last time.

Not sure if he's actually dangerous but he's certainly a bit of a tit.

On the other hand, anyone who can use the word "popinjay" in a sentence and put a US Senate Hearing in its place at the same time deserves some sort of award.

Anyone who's friends with me on Facebook needs only to look at my status update from last Friday night to get an idea of what I think of the guy.
