That's a mockery of a shambles. How is that even allowable?

Hmm, I don't know. On one hand, the first clip is obviously so cheesy it should come with a fromage warning. On the other, it's very nice to see the piano and strings played competantly by a live person.

While the current guitar based Sisters sound is pretty solid, the synthier stuff is just not that good. The current sisters set up is starting to wear a bit thin I think. Ben and Chris are great, but surely something has to change to try to keep things fresh. I say a touring keyboard player and or bass player would air the act out a bit.

Anyway.

Re first clip (and perhaps it hasn't been posted here before after all?)

For those that don't know - 'Gregorian' are real monks, under the stewardship of the guy behind Enigma (I like gregorian chant and i like enigma - so it suits me just fine 8) )

Anyway, yeah, so the monks specialise in cover versions. The original of More is to be found on the import version of 'Darkside' - which also includes other goth anthems.

Totally ludicrous. And the girl looks like a Ukranian hooker.

BUT, it does show how I wish The Sisters would come out and be a real rock band... just for one tour. Get a drummer, get a bass player, get a synth player, don't sequence anything, just rock it. Personally, I think it would be meaner than the overlacquered product they've been pushing for the last 20 years.

Having a drummer would entirely defeat the point. Why do so many people think the Sisters need a drummer?

Now bass player, yes. But drummer? Really?

Because the interplay between all instruments just can't be replicated. It IS rock n roll. As tight as the drum machine can be, it will only ever be 98%. The live drummer can push things right over the top, energy-wise. Of course, it can work the other way, too, but 5 live instruments raging together can't be beat.

Can't say wich of those clips sounds gayer than the other - both are pathetic for my taste :urff:

I'd agree but the sisters are special circumstances and there are limitations to consider if you like to get at least a bit vocals in the livemix.

You can't ditch the Dok when it comes to the girls, dude. That's like saying "Can't we opt out of that hydrogen stuff in the sea?"

I think live drums sound more organic but always less punchy than a well programmed drum machine, and that punchiness is distinctly Sisters - maybe a live synth drum player would cut it on with the 'live' act?
