Completely seconded. Sad news, though ... :( ...

However, Ravey Davey does the job now ...

And he's done it alright in the 1990ies ... ...

Things i remember about Sisters in 90's:

Detonation Boulevard being played twice in a gig (Only the drum intro).
Burn being stopped in the intro, and started again.

(I also remember 'nice' setlists, Eldritch with hair, and a Bassist, but this isn't the point)

Well, Ravey sure must be a nice guy, but...
Not Sure if want

Bummer! I loved the fact that one of the olde guard was with them, especially as he seemed to be a very cool chap...

Sad to see Big Si go!

Ravey Davey did sound on 2008 US tour very nice guy.

Also the counterpart to AE's fantastic remix of Fatherland by Die Krupps.

Didn't realize, however, that remix was very good, indeed :notworthy:

so basically, what was simon's input into the sisters?

apple?

no one can blame him for this, he is not responsible for not releasing any new stuff for ice ages

Certainly no blame but shame it is.

I'm sure other ones can do the job but I liked him being a nurse to the doc and kind of a 'mother' to the band. The right appearance and looks behind his small apples! :notworthy:

Ravey was there in the 90's as well? So he did Pukkelpop 1992?

Seconded, I will definitely miss that look ... :( ...

On the other hand, if he left because there are a lot of things to do regards The March Violets
and this would otherwise somewhat collide with his acitivites for The Sisters of Mercy ...
doesn't that imply that there are going to be some time-consuming future activities of The Sisters ... ;D ;D ;D  ...

No, the first time he was nurse to thd Doktor was during the Roadkill shows in 1996....

I agree, he was a reassuring presence behind the 3 apples.

I absolutely agree, fit perfectly up there in shades and beard behind the smoke, and cool he was - but Ravey Davey must be quite old as well?

Can't even remember if the Docktor was onstage in '92, I think possibly/probably not... :?

He is/was a fine nurse to the Doc.He seems pretty relaxed and cool guy as well.

I guess Simon wants to make some music and Eldo finds it pretty offensive :D
And since there is just a few dates this year i don't think the 'busy' schedule is the problem.
