Just got a box of promo stuff in the mail. Anybody know the promo photo of AE sitting on a wall pointing up? What was the for and was there a press pack also or just the photo?

Exactly, that's the one. I've also seen it in Heartland Fanzine and remember part of the caption that was: Andrew Eldritch at the ... meeting that went terribly wrong .... Don't know what issue ... but there was also some text around that picture .... however, I only own the anthology and in there quite a few things are different. There is no more caption for example and the picture is the size of a full page and located between plenty others ...

I think it was used in a Sounds (maybe Melody Maker) feature. Am assuming he's doing Michaelangelo's spark of life pose. Possibly.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I always thought it was more like the fake pointing my Dad used to do on family photos (looking out to sea, on top of a mountain etc). Perhaps young Von had a secondary career as a catalogue model.

Surely the point is that, although the photo was used on the bootleg EP, it wasn't originally taken for that and must have had some earlier purpose.

Is it definitely a promo photo from the record company?

Is it possible that it's a photo taken by a music mag photographer to accompany an interview in a magazine?

L is completely right, the FLAA US promo contains 2 promo photos including the one mentioned above plus an Electra press biography. Hadn't looked at this promo lp for years and couldn't even remember that I have a copy of the photo

I have the flaa one without wea logo and direct from the negative is that rare taylor?
