Speaking of Bowie, where do we all reckon he's got to?

He was seen heading up his own arse many years ago.
Don't think he ever came back...

I think he's "retired" to the things more important in life to him.
Second heart attack was surely evocative of the first one ... and insofar determing ...

He just retired from being "Bowie The Artist", only to become "Bowie Behind The Scenes On Some Occasions When It Suits Him And Enjoying His Old Days For The Rest."
As it should be. Take notes Ozzy.
Not you Lemmy, do carry on you.

I think the last public pix i can remember was at the premier of the film 'Moon' which was directed by his son Duncan Jones (aka Zowie Bowie). And that was a bit of a shock to see how much he'd changed. I use to find it unimaginable that someone with such a ferocious drive and creative streak could just turn it off and that he must be still be beavering away. Now, i can appreciate that, as with most things in life, it can be suprisingly easy to find other distractions if you stop long enough to look around... I still hope he'll make an album, and unburden by any desire to have a massive comeback, it will be more willfully uncommerical anything he's previously done. Something like an electronic version of Tin Machine meets laterday Scott Walker (or would that be the sequal to 1.Outside...)? There is of course the fact that the old drama queen in him absolutely loves the fact that he's gone and done a Garbo...

It may be that he's spending his down time getting round to finishing off "Ziggy - The Musical" and there will be a TV series where they whittle down the 100s of hopefuls to get to the one true leper messiah. Like they did with Maria and Jesus.
Just a thought.

Apparently the official reason for his not appearing at the closing ceremony was that he's too busy with a major project.

Has not given an interview for over 5 years. Still lives in NYC. But the heart attack prevents any further touring from DR's advice. Last performance was with David Gilmor I think doing a decent version of CN. Still happily married to Iman and I can think of worst things in life than that. Either that or the lollipop in the eye finished him.

Contrary to recently published reports relating to the announcement by the V&A of an upcoming David Bowie Exhibition, I am not a co-curator and did not participate in any decisions relating to the exhibition
The David Bowie Archive gave unprecedented access to the V&A and museum's curators have made all curatorial and design choices.
A close friend of mine tells me that I am neither 'devastated', 'heartbroken' nor 'uncontrollably furious' by this news item.

You'll only get your heart broken when he won't go gay for you.
