A couple of questions for the peeps in Belgium:
1. Does anyone know a cheap/good hotel in the citycenter of Brugge?
2. What are the must-sees?
3. What about parking?

thanx already!

Ah, so you can skip the Dolfinarium :)

When the weather is fine, de Brugse Reien are really a nice boattrip to make.
The Vlaamse Primitieven are a must see, Begijnhof and Minnewater are nice spots for a walk. We had a hotel near the Minnewater. Nice neighborhood.

Check Cactus and MaZ for a nice concert ;)
Small bars and café dansants are at the Eiermarkt for example.

I went to Brugges on holiday a couple of years ago.

I got a good deal on the Ibis Hotel in the centre of town - they have periodic offiers - I think I got 4 nights for the price of 3 with breakfast thrown in.

Must sees

1/ Brugges ice-cream parlours - ice cream & alcohol and waffles

2/ A walk up to the top of the bell tower

3/ The Brugges Zot brewery tour - stop for lunch in the restaurant there as well. It is one of the cheaper places in town and is good.

4/ There is a tourist map with a walk on it - if you follow that you will see most of the prettiest parts of the town - canals, locks and windmills. It takes the best part of a day if you go at a leisurely pace.

5/ boat trip

6/ I didn't see the art gallery & tapesteries because they were closed for refurbishment.

The centre of Brugges is no more than a square mile or so, so it isn't all that big. Quasimodo tours offer bus trips further afield to WW1 battlefields or the countryside.
