I had never heard of her before this thread. I am still unsure of the pronunciation

And I doubt if I will have heard of whoever it is she is shagging (if it is revealed) that has elevated to the illustrious heihts of her own thread on Heartland

I never said she wasn't talented - was just curious as we have quite a number of talented singers in the UK and it might have been nice to give others such a big stage.

Mrs L and I had a very similar conversation last night, Debaser - the BBC seem to wheel Sandé out at any opportunity, like Cliff Richard in the old days. Have no idea why the BBC think she is in some way synonymous with sport.
