New Year's Resolutions

by RockNRoll Mercenary
I know it's probably a bit old fashioned and most people never actually complete them but I thought it'd be nice to share them and maybe help keep each other motivated
I'll start:
1. Get rid of this christmas weight
2. Keep focused on uni/summer courses/acting jobs
I'd like to say 'have a nice relationship with someone' but that require a bit more than just me working towards it haha
Happy New Year

except things that i need to do, everything else what i want to do (legal english course, exercise- some swimming or yoga) is not really dependent on me. well maybe reading more than i used to in this, ending, year is what i want to do.
what i wish is to find job that i will not loath to do after one year.

1. (I'm already 2 weeks into quitting the smokes, so..) Not start smoking again.
2. Run a 10k race.
3. Finish a novel.
4. Read more.
5. Listen to more new music.
6. Start a religion.
7. Instigate peace on earth.
N.B. I may just stick to the first 5.

In 2013 I vow to:
- Do more gigs
- Go to more gigs
- Finish recording the proposed album tracks my band & I started in October
- Demolish and read the book mountain by the side of the bed
- Stop smoking the 'odd fag' - I stopped completely for 12 years and 2012 saw it all start again. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

- Make more artwork (twice as much as this year is my aim)
- Stop getting stressed out by the day job
- Might even give some thought to giving up smoking in February

The long-term project that is Sinnie (from 2013 through the shuffling off of this mortal coil, whenever that may be):
-Determine what I'm really passionate about, and see if those things can be turned into viable career options, or at least satisfying hobbies
-Find another job ASAP - one that won't make me utterly miserable
-Transition back into independent living by the beginning of March - actually, anything else isn't an option anymore because
my dad just sold the family house
-Get back into photography, which I've neglected for far too long
-Work on my singing voice, via regular practice and/or lessons
-Learn (finally) to play my bass!
-Make music and join or start a band
-See my Aspie traits as the tools and gifts they are (rather than hindrances and crutches) and learn to use them to my benefit
-Work on connecting better with humans, via social skills training; learn to read body language and learn how to flirt!
-Sex, and lots of it. Muahahahaha!
-More attention to physical fitness and nutrition
-Work on spiritual fitness
-Grow hair to waist.
Hey, I'm allowed something frivolous...
-Be brave and take more risks - LOTS of risks. A massive one that comes immediately to mind will be to:
-
Move out of the U.S., perhaps permanently. I'm probably going to have to call on you lot for assistance with this, at least initially. I'm dead serious. I'm not a leech, nor lazy, and I'll help whoever helps me however I can. What I need are options. Please feel free to PM me!
-Become myself.

Where would you like to move to in England or do you not know where yet?
EDIT: As for the sex thing, there are plenty of people on the planet, just grab one/get one drunk enough and shout SURPRISE! That's totally legal still right?...

My plan is to invite andrew and carl for a press conference about the future of so called goth movement.
Because Danse Society and March Violets Reunion turned out quite disappointing my plan is now to at least get metal riffs to be banned.

Oh, aye, but as long as I'm stuck here in East Buttf*ck, Connecticut, USA, there'll be very little of that, I'm guessing. I'd rather join a convent than shag the Quasimodos around here. Holy hell! *Shudder*

Talking about Bass gee-tars, I've got that same NY's resolution Sinnie: to start playing more on my mate's bass that I have on loan...
More important resolution: to be more patient with wife & kids.
