Hi all,
newbie here, though not new to the sisters as fell in love in 1985 when i bought the discounted cassette version (and long since overplayed to distruction) of first, last and always.
Avid fan since.
Have a few questions to ask over the next few days so will start with my first....

I have the CD versions now of the first LP
The mix was played around by Eldrich when it was released (remastered) onto CD
Is there anywhere I can get a digitial version of the album I bought on cassette, or does my memory fail me and there wasn't much difference??

When I click the link Amazon tels me that I bought that item in November 2006. 7 years ago already Christ.
An essential purchase for the bonus tracks alone, nevermind the rest of the record.

ok, thanks very much
listening to the snippits on the mp3 I can't hear much difference in the mix
was there much difference, or is the mp3 version not the same as getting the CD?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that when the album was first released the Japanese version was a different mix to the version we got.
Then some years later when the album was released on cd they used the Japanese mix.

Years ago I was given a cassette that was supposed to be the Japanese version but I don't think I noticed any differences.

Welcome to the forum gtbjames

@Dan.
That sounds right.

Also, @gtbjames. You talk of the cassette.
I seem to recall that being slightly different to the vinyl release at the time.
One thing that always baffled me was the missing backward drum beat (or the snort, as Lee refers to it) at the start of FALAA itself.
I think the only way to get a digital version of the original cassette would be to rip it directly to your pooter.

Rings a bell with me too but I can't vouch for whether it's truth or rumour or my bad memory.
