A difficult year; ended up picking:

Front 242
The Jesus and Mary Chain
Loop
Opal
Sisters
Skinny Puppy
Spacemen 3

And left it at that; there's lots of other classic stuff from that year but I guess it didn't meet the criteria ;)

Screaming Blue Messiahs! yowzer.
Floodland and Document are the two that stand out to me.
Not a bad year.

Some good albums that year. Apart from the obvious I went for the Happy Mondays debut album. An under-rated classic IMO.

Hardest choice yet. I'd used my ten choices before I even got to TSOM alphabetically and had to go back. Floodland just made it in for me. The Young Gods debut head and shoulders above everything else but I wonder if it'll even make the top 100. And the Lime Spiders - had totally forgotten about them !

Good to be able to vote for an Icicle Works album.

Plus the obvious choice of course..... ;D

Young Gods, Sisters, Neph, Gun Club, Lee Perry & Dub Syndicate, Durutti Column, Dinosaur Jr, DCD, Big Black & Front 242 made it, but had to drop a handful of brilliant albums that should have made it also (Sonic Youth, Prince, Tuxedomoon, etc)

That really was a good year!

Some fantastic stuff there

Bodines, Julian Cope, Faith No More, FOTN, Lloyd Cole, Mondays, PIL, Railway Children, SoM, TPE

Could have picked another ten tbh!

Band of holy joy, dcd, triffids, jamc, marc almond, einsturzende neubauten , sad lovers and giants, gun club,

there arent any bands of that level around these days,
everything is just so easily forgetable.

Sisters definitely, also Mick Karn, David Syvian, Sinead O'Connor, Siouxie, The Psychedelic Furs, Skinny Puppy, Laibach, and a few more ...

Hhm, someone should have voted for Cabaret Voltaire, though ... :?
