World's End

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

No, I'm not here because I saw Simon Pegg be (cough) hilarious in The World's End, I find him as tedious as ploughing in the rain.

As such I haven't seen his film (or any since Hot Fuzz, which wasn't as funny as getting my toes broken by a prize bull), but I am interested to know if any Sisters music is used in it.

Please save me the hassle of watching it on fast forward with the sound turned down.

Thanks, like I said earlier, there is a lot of material on this forum! I'm wading through it, though...

Referring to your original point...I liked Spaced (or at least parts of it)...Since then I've watched the zombie film (which ran out of gags after about half an hour), the one about the alien (bereft of gags from the beginning) and I watched about half an hour of Hot fuzz before realising the whole concept is so formulaic that it was guaranteed to be the same old sh1t.

So that in mind, it doesn't make me want to watch the new film particularly - even if it is about a sad old goff. ;D
