If you are today in Paris, VNV Nation play at a very pretty venue at 20:00 in Montmartre (Divan du Monde) :innocent:

The Sisters played Le Zenith in 2006. Quite big place and extremely nice located in the parc of La Vilette!
I believe the venue has a capacity of 6 or 7000. There were 4 or 5000 at the Sisters' gig
Oh, expect your beers to be very expensive. Wine is usually cheaper over there.

And recordshops in Paris are quite hard to find, but there must be some...

Arriving from the airports the best way is taking the RER until gare du nord and changing to the motro

Yep, going to GdN and then changing to Metro there is the best and a cheap way to get into the city. I haven't been to Paris in the last 2 years but when I was there last time, I can't remember having seen ANY record shop in the inner city :|

Just for clarification: Re record shops, I mean shops selling a decent number of vinyl records. However, there used to be Crocodisc in the Rue des Ecoles and that not that far from the city centre...

I've always been a FNAC fan myself - there's still one on the Champs Élysées - but this Time Out list seems comprehensive if it's vinyl you're after http://www.timeout.fr/paris/shopping/vinyl-disquaires.
Le Zenith is not too far from Pere Lachaise so you could also make a pilgrimage to Jim Morrison's grave if you've got time to kill.

I like the fact that in one of the shop photos there's a close-up of an album by the real Von - Von LMO ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Von_LMO for the uninitiated). That's seriously obscure !

Wow, thank you eveyone for your help!!

This will make things a lot easier

Yeap! i m not looking for Fnac but a good old fashion record shop with second hand vinyl.

@ jesus : i had to choose either Nick Cave or Vnv nation so Cave was the obvious choice since i haven't seen him live since 1989 ,though vnv nation's new album is just awesome but i did see them live 5 times already.
