Hunter S. Thompson meets Mary Poppins.

For a moment I thought you were suggesting he was bringing out his own brand of perfume.

If he did, I imagine it'd be in a container shaped like a bullet and it'd smell of laudanum with a subtle hint of ether. :P

And yes, I'm taking the p*ss on both counts, I think. :D

When I saw the title of the thread I assumed it was a new perfume, a rather pungent mix of Marlboro, leather and dry ice.

yeah, i've met Eldritch... :innocent:

i also thought it was something to with perfume -it would be subtly fragrant and evoke a thousand memories, ultimately inexpensive but rare, and a few drops would have to last you a lifetime. it would of course come in a very small bottle.*

* please no sperm donor jokes.

If we're talking perfume, there's that burnt-plastic smell of the organic solvents used in the manufacture of certain medicinal chemicals.

I've met him too.

The essence is maybe 50% "intellectual art-rock hooligan" and 50% "chancer can't believe his luck that his scheme to avoid ever having to get a proper job actually worked".

come off it michael. he's been "not getting a proper job" for a very long time. if studying the least-useful chinese language isn't a deliberate massive skive then what is ?

Addition to my original trio.

Meets Rob Hubbard.

Imagine a song like Flood 2. Made before Flood 2. And better than Flood 2. On a Commodore 64. And 17 minutes long.

This is only half of it.

For the impatient, it gets Flood 2-esque around the 02:35 mark, although I encourage you wait.

Von wasn't the only sly, electro-brutalist up North in shades and a groovy shirt in the 80's.

I also met Eldritch, during his blonde-hair, white bikers' jacket phase. He said nine words to me.
