I'm sure the families of those on board wouldn't find it quite so funny.

On the other hand, humor is a sensible response to tragedy.

This is true.

On the gripping hand, I remember several sh!tstorms on here over the years about various reactions to death and tragedy, so please...

None of that here, OK?

true, true. but at least one cock fight about death of celebrity wasn't all that nonsens. i mean, when someone ask for death by acting extremly wreckless, even if he/she sung/wrote one or two albums, doesn't mean that facts couldn't be ponited. but that of course IMHO.

but here tragedy is tragedy.

I just read a news that the malaysian army has probably found the location of the plane and have send units at that point. No clues yet and info about delivered.

I'm currently in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and as you might guess, the story of MH370 is the only thing running on tv, the newspapers, everywhere. The thing is, all Malaysian people I talked to in recent days were deeply concerned, while the foreigners, especially tourists, doesn't seem to care much (if at all)...

However, I'm deeply sorry for the families and kins of everybody travelling on MH370 and hope, they'll find out what really happened.

Re any news, the situation here hasn't changed in recent days, a lot of speculation, but no real evidence what happened yet :?

Not really. It's a big area of sea and it's also pretty big going downwards. Planes are heavy and don't float. If whatever went wrong also affected the navigation, that makes the area even bigger because the assumed location of the plane could be wrong by a huge factor. Even if that isn't the case, it's still an almost impossible task to find the wreckage at sea. It was days before they found any sign at all of Air France flight 447 in 2009 and two years before they found the wreckage.

Just been reading some of the relatives get ringtones when ringing the missing passengers and that some of their internet accounts show live activity.

Actually there are a lot of factors that are strange about it.
See above. :)

I think people (mainly the media) are exaggerating the weirdness for the sake of a story when it's really just (probably) a terrible tragedy and the circumstances aren't that remarkable. Even in this day and age an entire plane can go missing and it's by no means the first time. The conspiracy theorists aren't helping the search efforts or the families.

well, I didn't want to mention ...

... and after all, I'm really curious to hear what's actually happened (with still some small bit of hope for all those people ...)

In the absence of concrete data, speculation (even plausible speculation) like this will only proliferate.
