regardless of what i would prefer the Scots to do in this matter -and actually i am ambivalent to the whole thing, they should do what they want- the idea of whipping-up the rest of the uk to plead and beg for the vote to go one way or the other is ridiculous. it's not up to us, is it?
whatever happens they will still be our brotheres and sisters in any way that means anything, like ( for example) the czechs and the slovaks are .
as for us "having got to this position of being together" the jocks ain't gonna start painting their faces blue and raiding over the border fer fu
cks sake...and if we (the english) can't produce a homegrown tennis player of any quality that's our tough sh
it.
if we could keep the oil, now that would nice.

I think Eddie Izzard is hilarious
BUT
I don't think it is up to non-Scot folk to go around convincing Scots. If they had a good Scottish comedian arguing the case for staying in the UK but maybe they're scared of losing some part of their fanbase.
I guess there is always Hamish and Dougal

I have figured out the connection
Bowie made a public statement in favour of continued Union and he's worn a Dress
Izzard often wears a dress
Scots wear kilts
I'll have Vision Thing please Victoria

Re Eddie Izzard's comedy: I always thought that it must take a lot of rehearsal to sound that spontaneous.
