Get Bent!
McP's has outdoor seating = fags.
Look don't sweat it EZ, don't much like being in your company anyway. You never introduce yourself or join in, must be great to be so high n' mighty.
I prolly won't bother anyway

Oh oh! Jimbo's Kevin Keegan moment
merely pointing out the pub near the venue where most people went and the band were present pre and post gig

I've only met Ez twice. Once at a HL shebang - the one where I had an altercation with a condom machine - and Paris 2006.
Always seemed like a thoroughly nice chap, would always introduce himself, buy the beers etc., etc.
Even bought a vintage Siouxsie poster of me on eBay - when we didn't know who we were - to hang in his music room.
Gotta love that Keegan moment though.

Just stating what happened to me at the Dry Dock then several years later at McPhabbs, I didn't know who he was and he never joined the throng, any throng. After the event I was informed that was Ez, I'da bin happy to chat to him and clear any heavy air if needed.

Ahem, any personal differences aside...
McPhabbs: my local pub - as Jam-es says, very nice beer garden (and trust me, that's not common in Glasgow), nice bar, friendly staff, drinks slightly steep (but could be worse) and very nice food
Nice 'n' Sleazy: nearer the venue (though McPhabbs isn't too far either), reasonably priced drinks (if I remember correctly), burgers to die for but no beer garden.
Both are well worth a visit, on the same street as the venue and only about 5 minutes walk apart. As my lovely employers have banned staff from taking holidays in July due to the Commonwealth Games, I'm hoping to at least get the Tuesday afternoon off on Flexi time with the intention of dropping in at McPhabbs and hopefully Sleazy's too on the way to the ABC.
Hope to see a few old and new faces on the day (while trying not to be too envious of the lucky bastards going to Belfast the next day).

Well, one suggestion about Prague: friend of mine has a nice, decent bar. It is not exactly next to the venue, but within wider centre. Just about 10 minutes by bus (or underground) from the venue. Quiet place, good beer (etc.) and very, very reasonable prices with music of our choice. It is close to the Namesti Miru underground station, here are web pages:

What do you think about pre-show/after-show drink there?

Yes do. I need to know there's more than 4 other decent beer gardens in Glasgow:-D I haven't heard of the last 2 - I hope they're better than the 'beer garden' at the Clockwork, which is actually their car park!
