Anyone planning to see Wayne on his solo tour later this year?

Refreshingly honest of him to admit that the only reason he's doing it is to pay for his house extension. Hmm, wonder if he's chosen a kitchen supplier yet ...

The new Mish single features the novelty (any port in a storm) of having each member of the band contributing a lead vocal to one of the tracks. Which means that we get to hear Craig "sing" lesson one song. There's a teaser on Slicing Up Eyeballs if anyone's interested.

I recall a time when you would have been stoned for starting such a thread. Must be the UKIP effect...

I do like, you know,
them but isn't his solo stuff just him frigging about on guitar or piano? Isnt that just busking by any other name?

in all fairness i supppose you
could level (no pun intended) the same accusation at Justin Sullivan's solo gigs...but Slade's a much stronger vocalist and performer in general, not to mention the quality of song-writing being in a different league. sometimes wayne looked and sounded exposed even with a full band behind him. (in my humble opinion).

I haven't seen either frontperson live on their lonesome so the best I can do is compare Bare, which I found a deathly dull and simply unimaginative collection of cover versions, with Navigating By The Stars which I found pretty pleasant, and not massively different to the more quiet stuff NMA had done over the years.

You missed something, as you didn't proceed ...
... It's always worthwhile to give that guy another try ...
This time he's eventually hit the nail ... Marian intro and
... getting better with age ... ok ...

His solo tours are pretty much like Bare.

Nice hometown interview here :
http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Wayne-Huss ... story.html fancy Wayne playing a Bierkeller. I would have thought a Yates' Wine Lodge would have been more appropriate.

The original goth frontman??
Surely Eldritch or Murphy as they came first.
