What's the best recording (Vocal wise) you can find?
A rock and a hard place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QVMVds_IJ4#t=169

this one is just amazing. I was left literally jaw dropped.

Some lyrics missing, yes, but the sound of his voice is just incredible... Could have done without the delay though.

The best bit is at 2:40, his voice is sounding as agressive and emotive as the von we used to know.

… now imagine this live, it was much more impressive (this is my recording). My eyes were full of tears… I admit.
And there were many more other moments like this… Von’s voice was just fantastic on this tour.
It has perceptibly changed in a very positive way

i could find few people that would disagree with you. first 4 or 5 gigs were horrible when it comes to his vox, and i believe that this is common opinion.

Berlin was absolutely NOT horrible but impressing, rather,
how :von: sang with intense almost like in the old days but with today's voice!!! ... ;D :notworthy: ;D ...
I was fully pleased to note that, although they had problems with one of the guitars, but hell ...

And that was the 1rst gig ... from then on his singing and his voice improved ever further, like the whole set ... ;D ;D ;D ...
... just listen to Vienna or Munich ... or Amsterdam, though I have not yet had time to listen to the latter recording ...

Anyway, yes Bartek, you would find few people to disagree ... ...

Kraków and Prague were after Berlin and they weren't good, if we're talking about that aspect. and for sure not Kraków where i've been; and i heard the same about Dresden. but it's true that AE put his heart even in mumblings - i have to admit that.
we can exchange opinions here, so let's just agree to disagree about first gigs. but i have agree that recording from gigs after Prague sounds rather impressive, at least some, as for recent TSOM standards.

No problem, we have a different opinions. Those I talked to, share my opinion (and were there a few gigs). We will not have fight about this. For example Linz was among the first four gigs and you can hear on my vids (in the appropriate topics) that his voice is definitely good! It's the same with Vienna... :)

I quite like the "raspier" version too. He seems to have nursed his voice throughout the dozen dates pretty well and the siting of the instrumentals in the set, added to the additional vocal duties for Chris, seems to have helped.
