One ignorant person made a disparaging comment on my using a term that apparently David Icke uses these days. i'm no fan or follower of David Icke, but that doesn't detract from the fact that 60-70% of what he says is absolutely true (meaning, reading his books will tell you more about the world than any newspaper you might read).

Icke said the truth about Savile 20 years ago, and that's a documented fact. As is what he's said about a lot of other people over the years, and i have no doubt in time that will also come out.

From what I've read Savilles proclivity for depravity was well known within showbiz circles so Icke being aware of it isnt a massive suprise. As for the rest of Icke's beliefs,well, go for it mate, believe away but please, please post on here lots and lots.

Jerry Sadowitz said Saville was a paedophile in 87, and kept on repeating it. His live video 'Gobsh!ite' and lp 'Total Abuse' were withdrawn from sale as it was considered to have libelled Saville.

Jimmy Savile's activities were talked-about for years in Leeds too. Especially among health-service staff, who (especially younger women) were warned by colleagues not to get stuck alone with him. Not that not being alone always stopped him...

It is sickening and infuriating that there were so many rumours about his deeds but apparently nobody bothered to check or report to the police.

How can you let someone like this get away so many years... it makes me rabid.

Also, if there is anything to David Icke's ideas, well... what do we do about it? If the world is genuinely controlled by a conspiracy so powerful that the only opposition to it is semi-pariah figures like Icke himself, is there any hope in opposing it at all?

Yes, that's right. Icke didn't have some amazing insight into Saville. There's been rumour and innuendo going back 30 years or more. The only difference is Icke believed every word of it.

If you believe every seemingly crazy story you hear, it stands to reason that some of them are going to eventually turn out to be true.

Anyway, just to explain David Icke's wonderful insight into Savile:

Before he went stark raving mad Icke was a media darling working at the BBC in the 1980s (BBC Breakfast Time and Grandstand). Savile also worked at the BBC. Various people have said that rumours about Savile's activities were circulating amongst the media - they were just never published or made public.

So, to put it plainly, just because Sandra in Make-Up told David Icke in 1982 while she was powdering his face that she'd heard from another "celeb" that Savile was a paedophile, it does not mean that Icke has any great insights into secret societies, lizard overlords, global conspiracies, or anything else.

How did David Icke know Jimmy Savile was a paedophile? Does he have some kind of amazing insight? Perhaps it's just that a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.
