Yeah, a friend of mine recently had her leg savaged by her neurotic cat and had to go to the hospital at least twice, once for tetanus shots and a cast, and once again because she had a bad reaction to the antibiotics.

Basically, most mammals' mouths are full of bacteria you wouldn't want in your bloodstream. I mean, you wouldn't want any foreign bacteria in your bloodstream anyway, I guess.

(I was going to add the bit about komodo dragon bites, but then I googled it and it turns out it's not true.)

Oh I adore komodo dragons, I'd love to watch them in their environment (from safe distance) ... and cats, obviously ... ;D ...

As to the latter, my mother had to spend two weeks in hospital recently, with two operations on her hand necessary to avoid amputation ...
just because or dear little "tiger" didn't like the way it was touched ... and made the molester aware ... :innocent:

Well, currently I'm in home where are four (4) cats, but I'm from home where is a dog (BTW., she has 2 cats on her score). Point is: I see cats in real life and I'm still not a big supporter of that beasts, however I'm tolerate them.

OMG
VEGAN CAT FOOD it writes in the can or i have something in my eyes?

did they ask the cats if they choose to become vegan? or the cats ask them to buy that vegan thing ? :)

and the mice ? do they count ? do the cats have more reasons to hunt for their meat if their house has only vegan food ? :innocent:

Cats simply cannot live on a vegan diet. I think you're right iesus, people who feed "vegan cat food" to their cats will quickly have their cat eating elsewhere.

I think Millhouse would happily eat Wotsits all the time if he could.
Even if he has no teeth.

I just read the ingredients & you're right.
They have some sort of milk by product in there (allegedly)

Especially if "eating elsewhere" is a euphemism for "dead" - Captain Snugglesworth and his ilk are one of the few species that can't syntheise taurine for themselves, so need to get it from eating animals. Worth noting that dog food doesn't have significant amounts of taurine in it, so it's not a suitable substitute for cat food.

But chicken-liver flavour Wotsits are appropriate - lots of taurine in chicken livers. Omnomnomnomnom. Which probably explains why The Cap'n has a tendency to lick my crackers if I leave them within reach. :?

Chicken liver flavoured wotsits?
what?

It's bad enough trying to eat the bog standard cheese ones when Millouse is in the room.
Chicken liver ones would spark furmageddon.

The popularity of this thread is proof that after General Chat and Sisters Chat we need a Cat Chat section of the Forum. It's what Spiggy would have wanted ...

Which is probably exactly why they haven't done so yet: delegation/slavery ;D
