FPL GW13: Preview, update and review (Deadline 29Nov 11:30)

It's that time again boys and girls, as we welcome our visitors from the dark side to Heartland Boulevard.

Just to recap...

Charlotte's Carnage (GOD) is wearing the Yellow Jersey with pride, whilst bern15 (laperouse) is still basking in his moment in the sun with his GW12 Big Shout Out award. :notworthy:

Overall, the Industrial Groove Machine lead by 247 but the GW differentials are getting smaller as Eleven Imaginary Boys steady their ship. After a couple of serious GW spankings. :innocent:

I sense the early signs of FPL fatigue starting to set in for some players, on both sides, but FPL was never billed as a sprint. It is a marathon.

So concentrate IGM as we're now approaching the Festive Period where the GWs come thick and fast. I'm sure I'll be writing a preview before Pista's even finished his review. And vice versa. 'Tis the nature of the beast we have sold our souls to, whilst entering Dante's Inferno.

Yes kids, FPL is the Tenth Circle. Be strong.

It's still anybody's race (team, or personal) as we're only one third of the way through the season, and positions are meaningless at the moment. I guarantee that any player who makes an effort will have his/her Andy Warhol moment during the season.

I'm off to check the team news on FCB-Z 1921. :von:

Good luck all!

Made some final tweaks to Unstuck Forest yesterday.
Hope I haven't let my heart sway me by putting Gayle on up front, but he played a corker last week.

It's getting oh so lonely at the top ... .. .

Both my 'keepers are injured so that lonely feeling may soon be fading away.

Another rousing team talk from @Johnny. :notworthy:
Has inspired me to make a couple of changes having looked at the weekend's fixtures. My season continues to mirror Forest's - great start, lengthy embarrassing slump but much better the last few GWs.

We're with you Johnny!

Rumours that I'm considering defecting are malicious. I'm going to see The Cure in London purely to spy on the opposition.

I hope they're not going to watch the Ujpest game over at the pub later.
Best get there early I guess.

We'll be the drunkest people there, easy to spot. Join us in the pub beforehand?

I'll be there on the Monday.

Can't get there for the Sunday as I'll be at Anfield watching the mighty (cough cough) Reds recreate last season's annihilation of Arsenal.

How many nights are you going?

Pah we'll be in the pub cheering on the Gooners to another Anfield victory ..... it was a coin toss between The Cure and Arsenal, recent health issues made The Cure the more viable option.
I'm there all three nights - may not last all three but I will be there.

Wenger's stitched me up again, last time I buy him pizza ... .. . looks like I'll be using eight players this weekend. On the plus side, great to see Giroud back - much better than he's given credit for, and he's very pretty.

That game netted me the princely sum of.........2points.

My usual anti-Midas touch worked, as assuming he would be benched to allow Giroud back in, I got rid of Welbeck this week.
Next week I'll post my team changes here and you can all take Ladbrokes to the cleaners betting on the opposite.

Costa's on thin ice.
Amazed he never got sent off actually

That's his fifth yellow of the season so we'll all be Costa-less in GW14 as he sits out a one match ban.

Personally, I can't afford to sell him and then re-buy him back. I guess I'll just bench him for next GW.

Better get working on getting a team together for next week. :|

I'm with Johnny. I can't afford the £0.3m I'd lose if I sold him.

It's always nice to have a voice of reason.

How were your boys today Graham? I came home late from a works day out in Speyer.

From reading the reports, it all sounded a bit desperate.

Would you concur?

First half we were rubbish. Glad we were playing a team who had no real threat.

Second half we improved a bit but our best chances fell to Lucas and Joe Allen who are just about the last players you want in that situation.

I, and about 99.99% of all reds, hate Glen Johnson with a passion but fair play to him he was very brave in heading home our winner.

Just glad we got the 3 points.

Then I watched the end of your game. You didn't look much, which was quite a surprise.
