I find the whole thing weird, creepy and stalkerish. It's no wonder that Eldritch doesn't engage with his fans when this is an (admittedly extreme) example of what they get up to.

I don't think that attempting to diagnose mental illness via the internet is particularly a good idea. There's already enough stigma attached to mental health issues; equating mental illness and bad behaviour is not helping.

I would like to add to the words of mark that a lot of bad behavior is in a great percent hidden behind so called "mental" illness in fb or other communication channels

Just because someone is in the public eye doesn't make it any less wrong (in any kind of letters) to impersonate them. The fact that there will always be some idiots who pull stupid sh!t like that is no excuse.

(And for the record, I'm also not really comfortable with swooping in on them and dispensing righteous outrage... But then I'm guilty of this, too.)
