I was sad to hear this morning of the death of former Dance Exponents and Starlings guitarist Chris Sheehan, who had been living with cancer for several years. I used to see quite a lot of Chris back in the day and he was a lovely man – and, of course, quite a guitar player.

Very sad news. A very talented man. Loved his work with Starlings before he joined TSOM. R.I.P. Chris.

ive got a grip now (i think), but in the two hours since i heard this i have cried uncontrollably on and off, listened to a fabulos gig from the smoke and mirrors tour at magdeburg, learnt he was only5 years older than me, and thought "there but for [s]the grace of god[/s] chaos..." several hundred times.
i felt like this when Ofra Haza died, and i realized:whenever someone who has been a part of The Sisters Of Mercy dies, a part of me will die forever.

Sad news indeed
Rip Mr Seehan.
I've only seen them once when he was on board and I didn't think it was a good gig, but that doesn't make this any less sad.
Gonna give the old Starlings 12" another spin in a minute...

I'm gutted. It wasn't totally unexpected given his recent health, but that makes it no easier.
I never saw the band with him because his tenure occurred during my Sisters wilderness years, but he was just such an important part of it.

I saw him 3 times on stage.I always think that he was (with adam) the best combo (perhaps because the 3 gigs were fantastic as well).I'm really sad.Today, I decide to wear my "Sex God Rock Star",the best sisters-related t-shirt ever...

I'll be the one to say it.
Would have been lovely to put on an official vinyl release of the Sisters with Adam and Chris today.

Smoke and Mirrors at the Forum rocked my socks off and was pivotal in me & Mrs Hellboy being together.
We still are, and shall never ever forget Mr Chris
