Epitome of Whale Noises

The worst (or best) case of Whale noises/unintelligible yak coming from Vonatron's lips?
I'd say either the first chorus of Burn, Amsterdam 2003 (after which he just seems to give up singing all together) or "one romeo down" at the end of
Romeo Down, Groningen 2011.

(EDIT: on a side note, this version of I Was Wrong is just beautiful.

The highlight of that gig was breakfast the next day.

A bit harsh to pick on those two moments in particular. A significant part of the effect of
's vocals is down to the sound guy, as we heard (or rather didn't) at times in 2014 on the extracts I've seen on YT.
At the risk of sounding like some uber fanboy apologist, I think it's only when you listen to the many dreadful TSOM covers out there that you realise what a powerful, distinctive and evocative voice
actually has, despite his occasional failings in that department.

I don't think he ever did Burn in full after that fiasco
his 'we'll get the hang of it' afterwards is dead funny though

Maybe he's trying to replicate the backwards vocals on the recorded version of Burn?

Oh, This does not make a terrible vocalist, it just makes Live recordings difficult to listen to around friends
I think the "whale noises" are something that makes the sisters so different.
I love them, I did not mean to insinuate otherwise with this thread. I was just trying to see if there was a better example. They are an exelent way to convey emotion. Somewhat.
