John Ashton talks about producing Alice

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. Very interesting. As much as it may "kill the mystery" my inner music gear and production nerd gets a big kick out of stuff like this (just hearing him talk about manual step sequencing on old drum machines....:notworthy: how's that for "hands on"!) For instance I would LOVE to see a Classic Albums (or some such) documentary on the making of F&L&A.

Great piece! I really enjoyed that. Funny to think of them playing their respective 'Alice's' too each other! I was always curious if there was any overlap between the two.

Nice to hear him talk so generous about those times and Andrew, especially when there's no obvious mention of him getting a production credit on the records.

Standing corrected. I'd only looked at the 12" presuming the credits would be the same on the 7". Although going by what John is saying in the video, it sounds like he produced the e.p. not just the single?
