FPL GW29: Preview, update and review (Deadline 14 Mar 11:30)

I’ve been asked to kick this GW off in Johnny’s absence as he’s got roped into worky stuff at short notice.
*puts on David Fairclough hat*
He sends his apologies & if I play my cards right, he might loan me his pen for the weekend :)

The managers’ press conferences have been coming thick & fast today & yep, Jose was in a spectacularly foul mood & his ego is being monitored over training to decide whether it’s fit for this weekend’s game or not.
Tim Sherwood has revived the Aston Villa goal of the month competition at last, but will he have any luck against Poyet’s lot?
It seems that as Cisse & Evans are serving lengthy bans for “gob-gate, no-one needs to bring a pac-a-mac this week & Man U’s Falcoa is starting to improve in form too (for the under 21 team anyway). :innocent:

That said & not wanting to take too much of Johnny’s thunder , let’s get the GW under way :)
With a commanding lead of 402 points, The Industrial Groove Machine have The Eleven Imaginary Boys backed into a bit of a corner & needing a hefty win this GW.
So boys & girls, you know what to do, chose your weapon & apply the Alice band accordingly. :D

Game on!!
;D

You have to pity Leicester when you see quotes like this on the BBC live text feed
Leicester may be bottom of the table but I tell you what, their groundstaff have done a wonderful job with the pitch today. Supreme mowing.

They've put a lovely striped pattern across the turf. I'm not sure I'd ever go as far as to say it's worth watching Match of the Day just to see a pitch, but it's not far off being a must-see.

Looks like some really low scores around this week. A lot of people hoping for a high-scoring Swansea v Liverpool.

Not the best week for me to have dropped Trippier to the bench.

you say that, but without 9 pts from heaton my GW total (so far) would be much worse than just "disappointing". i only have 2 other players who managed more than their 2 points for turning up.

so now in a sad irony i have to hope siggurdsson does well against liverpool who of course i support...ah me.

hey Jo- completely fitba unrerlated but i had this dream the other night where i was stuck where you live and you were adamant you were going to dig me a tunnel all the way home to leicester through your fireplace......and for some reason you had quite a fetching beard.

How bizarre Lee! In all my dreams about Jo she's always freshly shaved.

Edit:  I can't believe we both just posted what we posted. I think she's still in Ireland. Hopefully she won't read this and won't think of the word euphemism, and we may both just live to see another day. :urff:

Alternatively, panic and meet me outside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London first thing in the morning. I think we'll be safe there. Maybe.

You might wish to know that my trip to Ireland ended when my flight took off from Shannon airport at 06.30 yesterday morning.
The embassy's address is Flat 3B 3 Hans Crescent
London SW1X 0LS. The nearest Tube is Knightsbridge.
Trains and flights go to London throughout the evening.

Have a nice rest of the day!

hey Johnny, dont drag me into your almost-not-at-all-veiled smut; my dream was perfectly innocent (albeit weird) even mr strange was there -in another room shouting about the growing pile of soil on the front room carpet- but there nontheless. and now i think back the beard itself could even have been soil, but that does rather imply that Jo was chewing me a tunnel home.... :urff:

Think positive Lee as Jo was undoubtedly doing. From the earth things grow. So by chewing and ingesting some of the dirt, she was trying to grow.

I know. I'm in Frankfurt International as we speak catching the last BA flight to LHR. And Julian Assange. * shudder *

do you want the embassy's number too?

i do not need to grow. i am scary enough.

you are when you're on your hands and knees in a big hole in the ground, in the middle of your front room, sporting a soil beard, and confidently promising me that you can safely navigate underground from norfolk to leicester.
