Sorry Pads - I came over all "Richey". You have to admit they are awful. Nice tattoos though.

Yup. Valid point.

Not thinking of going for a Busted finger-in- socket hairdo anytime soon then ?

Though if you have a look at our other non Sisters band

Good Lord - now he really should be in Good Charlotte (but one assumes he's over 12 years old)

Some of us got to see them. And some of us *ahem* knew far more words to the songs than strictly sensible....

Must stop watch P-Rock, Scuzz and Keraang

Saw 'em at Leeds and they weren't that bad. Very entertaining and got the crowd going although I've heard they didn't go down too well at Reading - finished their set 20 minutes early I think.

They can't be that bad, Godhead thanked then on their latest CD Evolver

catchy stuff aimed at the massive market for guitar bands with that slight comic/ironic/p*ss take edge thrown in too to cover all bases.
they dont make tunes to inspire you, they make tunes that are fun.
i like them.

saw mid fourties bloke in street few days back sporting a g/charlotte t shirt.
did wonder if he'd put it on and knew what+who good charlotte was;then realised how presumptious that was,but still kept on wondering anyway.

rate tham higher than evanescence(possible mis spelling of name not withstanding).who seem to have taken linkin park then regressed to the land of the bland.kids love them.

static x are quite good as well.

They're fooking retarded and everything that's wrong with music. How about that? Minor point, but one that should be taken into consideration. ;D

Aaah, Good Charlotte, let me count the ways in which I hate thee...

Bland,
Insipid,
Pop/Punk bollocks,
I find is hard to separate
My Blink 182's from my Sum 41's

Nu Metal/Rap pap,
Puerile and Sterile,
Limp Bizkit and Lincoln Park,
Dumb jocks and skater rats,
Who couldn't spell T S,
Never mnid Eliot!

And now that I've run out of semi-literary / reasoned arguement,
I'll point out that "They're no' bony laddies."
They probably worked it out some time ago that their only hope
of getting a shag was to form a band!

Of course, I'm just an intellectually conceited thirty-something, who
admits to no longer understanding the "kids". :?

did i mention incubus?system of a down?korn?rival schools(altho thats venturing into emo territory, unless you'd lump it all in the same pigeon hole that is);less than jake, queen adreena(ex daisy chainsaw members-so is that too old???for the nu metal tag?),him, reel big fish(particularly for the take on me cover),oh and i thought justin timberlakes song"rock your body"was charming too.
maybe thats not nu metal, but you could say it also comes under the bublegum/throw away light relief kind of tune(although korn stretch light relief to its limits lyrically).

i like it because its fun music.theres no hidden meanings or lyrical puzzles.youre not going to find god within the music or sit up late into the night discussing what "pop a cap in youre ass" really meant in the context of one particular tune as a pose to another.its basic easy to listen to,sometimes bouncey sometimes stupid, and quite often randomly silly music.the point is tho,its meant to be like that.

its the bands/groups/genres which pertain to be something they really are not which mildly annoy me.
:P
