That right there is a deep-fried slice of ORSUM! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Now, since :von: has long-resisted my entreaties to play 1959 on stage, do you think He might be prevailed upon to do this version of Flood II as an opener? I can see it in my mind's eye - 3' of smoke over the stage, grand piano in the middle, single spot, couple of synched lasers and strobes; song finishes, fade to black, roadies wheel piano off, guitar slide opener to When You Don't See Me and lights up on first drum crash, :von: front and centre, foot up on a monitor, fag in hand, mic stand canted forward...

...shit. Not gonna happen, is it?

Nice ... :notworthy: ... she's managed to capture the monumentality as well
as all the sweetness of the song in a revealing and complementary contrast.
Very lovely. And so reminding of all those rivers ... like the original when I first heard it ... :notworthy: ...

Well, we have seen Lisa Cuthbert live on stage playing This Corrosion on the piano. So why not Flood II? One more song 8) would not have to sing to.

I love her stuff. I discovered her a few years ago, doing Metallica covers, I think her version of Orion was the one that did it for me. She's pretty damn good. :D

Well yes, it's amazingly good, but these "trained" classical musicians are generally on a totally different level compared to most rock or pop stars, so I guess most of her "colleagues" could do something similar if they really wanted to. Still, absolutely awesome :notworthy:
