Me first gig... and nervous as hell!

Well, it's gonna happen anyway.
My first gig ever as the vocalist of The Avatar.
And what's more interesting... I have a job application on the same day.
What's even more... I moved to a new house, but the owner of my former house is making trouble about some money I owe him (at least, he THINKS I owe him...). And sent me a fecking lawyer.
On top of that our keyboard-player had a car accident yesterday. He's unharmed, but his car is seriously damaged. And he scared the p*ss out of us by arriving in our rehearsal room two hours after starting time.

How much more can one small lil' Belgian boy endure?

Ah well... we'll see. If you hear nuffink about me ever again after Sep 6, I broke down. In that case: it was nice knowing you guys... :notworthy: :notworthy:

Nervously yours,

IZZY.

yeap.. when we have something important to do, happens everytime something bad and not only one thing... But you gonna see that everything is going to be ok.
I wish you a great concert and try, on stage, not to think about life. Enjoy it.. every second. And i want, if possible, to know how it was.
GOOD LUCK and many kisses

Mmmmmmm.....
People promised me there will be a pro sound and light show, three vidcams shooting the gig and several peeps taking pics...
I'll see what I can do with this stuff and I'll certainly put it on my server.
If you go, go with a smile... :urff:

I'm getting sick... :? :(

But I'll act cool as hell. :von: ;D

Good luck! :D

You can always add rock'n'roll adictives, though... something to calm you down or something to put you up... (But you didn't hear it from me! :innocent: )

Good luck Izzy!

And here is one big hug of mine to make you less nervous.

I do know what it is to be on stage like because ages ago I was in my primary school band performing live whenever there were some kinds of celebrations.

And put the whole crowd on the ground! :D

Thank you all for yer support...
It will help, I'm sure!
Actually, I've done many gigs, but always as a keyboard-player. You know, the guy standing in the corner with the most power supply and the least lights...
But now I'm the singer of the band, like in... up in front, in plain view, easy tomato-target etc...

Well, we'll see!

Thanx again !

Now seriously, I think the trick is to pretend you're playing a character and... play that caracter. Like a movie actor, only on stage.

I wonder if Eldritch has adopted this stratagem too? Who is he really? The insecure junkie dressed in black from F&L&A or the bowiesque rock star he plays nowadays? He can’t be both.

We're planning to record one soon enuff.
What you heard were old songs, but the style is kinda the same.
Paradise lost/Moonspell/Sister'ish (Vision Thing era).

BTW, where did you download it? From http://server.dd4e.net/avatar ?

I'll keep you lot informed!

Oh and by the way... 26 hours to go... :innocent:
