A new confirmed date for the 1983 TSOM gigography !

Just in case there is anyone here who is interested in the 81-85 era and hasn't seen them, I've added posts on quite a few gigs on my TSOM blog recently http://sistersfan.blogspot.co.uk, including Keighley 1982, Norwich 83, Bournemouth 83, Swindon 83, Middlesbrough 84 and Trojan Horse 84, thanks to lots of help from various old fans and collectors.

And over the past week I've been working on gathering evidence on a 1983 gig not listed on the official gigography or the Wiki one, and hopefully I'll have time to post it up on the blog tomorrow night ...

I was told by someone from Colne that as well as the two known dates they also played at Franks sometime in March/April 82 and also in Oct/Nov 82. Too much time had passed for him to remember the dates obviously, but he was adamant that they happened. Something to research anyway.

Thanks for the kind words but as I am now doing gigs I didn't personally see I am hugely indebted to generous collectors lending me pics of their items and old fans who were there and are kind enough to share their reminiscences.

New post now up ...

That's sure how it is, and even more so with the SistersWiki ... :wink: ...

Still, I deeply enjoy the way you write about all these gigs, and with such detail about the venues and their history ... it's just wonderful ... ;D ... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: ...

New date integrated, also in the Gigography ... :D ...

And with endless thanks for your enormous effort to compile all these facts and proofs in such a lovely way ... :kiss: ...

... plus, of course, thanks to all those who made this possible with their generous contributions ... :D :D :D ...

Thanks for your kind words about the blog, @Being, but I think we are all in awe at the scope and depth of the wonderful Wiki.
Thanks for adding the date to the Wiki gigography, but just one minor correction. The Toy Dolls weren't on the bill, their novelty hit record was just played by the DJ before the band came on.

... :eek::eek::eek: ... :lol: ...
Here's the Account Request Page. It is there for you (all) so that you can get yourselves an account and edit, look a bit deeper behind the scenes,
contribute pictures, vids, information; correct my errors and mistakes ... don't hesitate to do so, if you note some!
The SistersWiki is for everybody. It's about The Sisters of Mercy.
Btw, forget that funny senctence of "real name" in the Account Request Page. I cannot edit that page, otherwise I had long done so. We're not FB.
Anyway, there is, AFAIK, no way to prove it. Spammers and abusers get banned and their edits deleted. That's all.

Thank you very much! I've seen to that. Without such hints, I were completely lost ...
