GW20: Deadline 11:45 2nd January 2016

Seems only a minute since I posted for game week 18. If you're reading this in 2016 then happy new year to you. If it's still 2015 then take my good wishes, store them somewhere quiet and bring them out just as the clock ticks around on the end of 2015.

If you didn't use your first wild card then it's too late, it's gone. Now everyone has access to their 2nd wild card so if your team is looking particularly crap or has a two or more long term injuries then now is the time to act.

If your team is doing badly and you just don't have time to manage it on a weekly basis then now is the time to transfer one of the players who scores well most weeks, for example Ozil, make him your captain, and retire back to the real world.

Be careful out there.

Scores On The Doors now posted. ;D

Going to need to tweak my midfield a tad & then phone Kun & tell him to pull his finger out.

Is it just me or is the FPL standard much higher this year ? I have six players with that wee blue star next to their name and have had Mahrez in the team from week 1 but am still in the bottom three of our league.

I think now we know what we're doing bumps up the level a bit.

In game week 17 Leicester were way at Everton (who can't buy a clean sheet), Man City were away at Arsenal, and Bournemouth away at West Brom. You picked Ritchie of Bournemouth in midfield and benched Mahrez and De Bruyne. Mahrez scored 15 points....

So you might have starred players but you're not picking them all the time.

Also you're keeping injured players in your squad for too long. Active managers sell as soon as a player gets injured and get a good price. Hold on before selling and you get a poor price plus until you sell you're restricting your options for your starting XI.

Well the games so far aren't really setting the world alight are they?
Is everyone still hungover?
Hope the second halves bring a bit of action or they may have to cancel MOTD this evening.

edit. Ruddy hell! Wayne Ruggy just remembered where the goal is

That's Sturridge doomed then.
Worse for him if drizzle is forecast.

Well that was a really s**t game week.

EIB 431
IGM 372
+59 for EIB
Overall EIB take a 29 point lead.

Nobby Nobbs XI once again holds onto the Image

Image goes to Steve with his Unstuck Forest. Well done. :notworthy:

H2H
EIB 18
IGM 15
Overall EIB lead by +28.

Nobby Nobbs XI wears the Image but with 3 other teams level on 40 points and 2 only 1 point behind on 39 points I hope he's giving it a good polish before passing it on.

I think that's the first time we've been in the overall lead in...ever  ;D

I feel a bit cheeky taking the BSO with 51, but looking at the global average for the GW (40), I guess I did alright eh?.
Just to compound just how weird that GW was, the highest global scorer with 108 points had a goalie as captain & no subs

Now we get a bit of a breather to make way for cup games (phew).

Thanks again for hosting the week & see you a week Tuesday. :notworthy: :notworthy:
