Hi Sisters!

Hi everybody! I'm a 24 years old university student from Turkey. I study Turkish Language and Literature, I'm interested in poetry, music, football and boxing. I also collect records, I got
First and Last and Always,
Floodland and
Vision Thing among my collection of course.
Well, I just want to say hello. I've been listening to the Sisters for 5-6 years. The Sisters is not very popular in Turkey (sadly -or not, I don't now). However, there is somebody from Turkey in the forum. If there is, selam dostum to him/her.
My username's meaning is "and", by the way. It comes from a song of Erkin Koray, the godfather of Turkish rock:

I'm happy to be here. As a young poet, Eldritch's lyrics has given me a lot of inspiration. I will love to try analyzing them with you.

Honestly, not one of my favorites. It's a good song, but not as strong as an usual the SOM song. If another band (for insatnce, Fields of the Nephilim) had made this song, I would regard it as a great one.

Possibly the most diplomatic answer we've ever had to that question.

Oh, hi friend!
By the way, let's listen from a great singer & a great poet:

"If I don’t burn
if you don’t burn
if we don’t burn
how will the light
vanquish the darkness?"

Nice poem that one.
Hikmet, Loizos and Ritsos in one, sounds an ideal gathering of brilliant minds.

When I first read Ritsos, I wanted to learn Greek. His
Erotika is amazing.

I didn't want to set up a new topic, so here it is: hello, I'm new here as well
I'm 22, I live in Poland and been listening to the Sisters for...well, a couple of months really, but I have to admit that I am head over heels in love with their music
This is the first time in, hmmm, 7 or 8 years that I registered to a forum (given all the Facebook/Twitter/tumblr etc. hype I'm a bit surprised that forums still do exist). I guess I'm more comfortable with a bit of anonymity.
I'm hoping to join in a few conversations soon because this is a true mine of information on the Sisters. Have a nice day everyone!

Welcome and hi,
snakestone ...
...
IMHO, it were a pity, if there were no forums anymore. Not only because of the (slightly) better privacy,
it's just a different medium and quite a diverse one, too, and way more clearly arranged than any FB or twitter page could ever be ...
