I'm sure this won't, in any way, become contentious on the ever amicable HL forum.

Bad Brains & Kraftwerk: absolutely deserve it.
Jane's Addiction? Sorry, no.

There seemed to be some crap there
My vote would go to Kraftwerk - I am surprised they are not already in the Hall of Fame

I was never really bothered by that Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And since i read few articles about how that organization works i couldn't care even less.
Not to mention that Rock and Roll seems to be more of part of name than indication of genres of music.

Not even sure of the criteria for nominations these days.
Still grinds my gears that Frank Sidebottom never got in.

I would love to see Little Frank collecting his award for him.
I would vote for Pearl Jam; on the grounds of...
1. Eddie Vedder's voice
2. They continue to make music
3. They continue to gig
4. They are never predictable live. Different set lists everytime.
OR
Kraftwerk, on the grounds of...
1. They are Kraftwerk
2. They are Kraftwerk
3. They are Kraftwerk
4. They are Kraftwerk

That's preposterous, unbelievable and outrageous that there's no nomination for TSOM!
That demands vengance,
a really naughty one

Yes, that's how I feel about it.
Occasionally on the net I'll see a group of fans getting in a tizzy that their favourite band or artist hasn't been included and some of them get really upset about it, as if it matters! These people have absolutely no authority at all, they're just a bunch of people giving out awards, it's meaningless.

Fully argree.
Beyond that, I'd vote for Kraftwerk.
The fact, they were not included so far, shows that it's mostly an American game, anyway...

@EmmaPeelWannaBe
"American voting public" consists of hundreds of millions of individuals ... I won't judge on them all (or any other voting public) in one whack ...
Still, all this Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame thing is an American invention and the people chosen are in the far majority Americans.

But Patricia Morrision, Alan Vega, Jim Steinman, Terri Nunn are/were Americans, too.
I don't think you have to worry...
