I wonder what he means when he says the songs will be different next time. Good interview.

This is rather rambling interview. I wonder if it was translated from another language?

He doesn't hate Americans- "I have so much love about America and American culture."
Tho he probably feels differently now

One time someone came to me and said there is a major scene in a film with these guys in a car driving down a boulevard with them singing one of your songs whilst that happens and I was, ‘well ok’ and I asked for the script and I thought that this is a f**king terrible film. It turned out that is was the scene in Wayne’s World where they are singing Bohemian Rhapsody and originally they wanted This Corrosion!

This is the girl on piano playing This Corrosion, as mentioned in the article:

Jeepers, I bet that would've brought in a few quid. Still you have to admire him for sticking to his guns.

Shaking things up next year sounds promising, bad news about the hand.
Nice interview though, we live in hope...

Nice read. I can't recall if it's been discussed before but how on earth did Vision Thing get into that disgraceful film Showgirls?! Surely he had to ok it!

Oh my, I know that pain ...
... Had a similar thing earlier this year. Soo painful - and paralysing. Fortunately not a muscle rupture, though it really felt like it!
Now it's (mostly) gone. It took me one of
these (and no other!), about two of
these and a good portion of patience.

Von refers to playing Gimme Shelter with New Model Army recently
Please tell me he is not referring to the 2003 St Pauli benefit as recent

2003 is recent when you haven't released a new song for nearly twenty five years! Mr Robb is an excellent interviewer but you can almost feel Von putting the shutters up about half way through.

Mr. Robb really needs to get somebody to edit his interviews before posting them in the public domain.
Nice interview apart from the grammar.

Aye. He (very) needs a proof reader.
I love LTW but it's seriously let down sometimes by multiple "and" other dire un-readables.
Nice interview. I was reading a good one with Jon Langford about his TSOM times this morning as well.

First interview in years where I felt like I've learn't something new, but it reads like a bunch of pre-written questions sent via email rather than an live Q&A.
There is some gold in there that doesn't get any follow up lines of questioning - for example telling us he has has no feeling in his left hand

But, but, but, but, but.

Is this a "Rain From Heaven" remix or cover?
