Sorry if this thread has been mentioned before?

Marx, Hussey and Adams for me.

Mmm. Adam Pearson and Chris Starling not bad. Can't comment on Ben and Chris because I have never seen them, but what I've heard they have good banter with the audience?

Best Album. Toss up between First, Last and Always and Floodland :notworthy:

In a live situation then the Adams/Hussey/Marx version for me, every time.

But if I'm playing Mr DJ then it's Adams/Gunn/Marx that I reach for 'cos I'll play Alice or Temple before any of the LP's.

Have happily swung my pants to later more, erm, industrial line-ups too.

The Reptile House Album?

I like the albums for what they are, but there's not much use in commenting on lineups I have never seen nor will see. I'll settle for the current one, as long as there are gigs :)

I wish I could, though... *sigh*

Ben and Chris are my favourite for all the gig memories but even though I can only hear the others on bootlegs, each past lineup also had their own charms.

I've listened the most to Vision Thing and the pre-FALAA releases lately and I'd kill to hear a concert of the '90 Bruhn/Bricheno/James lineup, and '85 with Marx, Hussey and Craig. But I'm glad every single one of them exists, I just really love the Sisters and each album/tour reveals a different side of them.

With Mr Ben Gunn, saw them not knowing who they are and they were pretty damned good, never saw with Wayne but all the other line ups have been a top night out. Album is difficult love the original EP's etc and love all the LP's in different moods, its mighty cool that Von has created radically different albums.

Eldritch, Mr Whammy, Sheehan. Dangerously sexy sounds.

From the output on vinyl: Marx/Gunn/Adams, unfortunately i joined the crowd too late to see them live.
Of the line-ups I DID see live: Bricheno/Bruhn/James. Probably the most professional bunch of people :von: ever had together. Imho they were GREAT.
Albums: as mentioned earlier here they are all very different from each other, so difficult to compare. My top 3 (in no paticular order): The Reptile House EP (if you count it as an album, if not just replace it with SGWBM, yes I know, also not a REAL album...), Floodland, and no joke, Gift. I really like that one.

In terms of sound (I know that incarnation from bootlegs only) this was the best line-up.

Am I the only one to think that a bass player would massively enhance the live sound/performance?

Nae, yer not, but it seems that (some) TSOM fans/supporters have intolerance to real live bass sounds.
