Laibach Goes Pyongyang

Apparently the gravelly-voiced Slovenians went there in 2015, and made a fillum. Which comes out today. For which I has tickets. Woo! Will be interesting to see what the Hermit Kingdom's inhabitants made of them - I gave one of our minders a flash drive with some choons on it, the Ladies, Plasmatics, Zep, Johnny Cash, a decent cross section of the last 70 years or so of decadent western imperialism. I wonder if he listened to it and thought, "Yeah, not bad, but there's not enough eastern european stompitude."

Then again, since they don't have the Intertubes they've never seen Laibach With Kittins...

This was shown on BBC4 last week, available on iplayer titled When Rock Arrived In North Korea: Liberation Day.

Worth an hour of one's time I reckon on how the director works with the authorities. Not much Laibach music, more on what they're about, and some very pretty pictures. Worth a watch.
