Brixton Ace 10 March 1983

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Lovely. Are you sure, though?

For that means that the contents of this page - including sound examples from that gig all contributed by Expert Ceasar spiggymr7 - is completely wrong ... ...

and also the Monchrome bootleg.

on 06.04.83 Virgin Prunes played Brixton Academy, A guy recalls seeing them that night and he confirmed that The Sisters never played that date.

10.03.83 gig was announced on BBC Radio One by David Jensen. So the bootleggers did mix up the two dates.

This tape was labelled as containing 10th March AND also 6th April. So if one of the gigs was the one with the disputed date, what was the other one?

Exactly my concern. Thank you, Dan. Also it wouldn't take a D90 tape to trade only one show ... :? ...

Answer from the guy (spiggytapes) who have the tape..

This tape contains in the A side "Halloween In Arkham vinyl" (vinyl crackles). (The Vinyl is marqued Brixton Ace 17.03.1983) but this is Brixton Ace 19.02.1983 ,,because Sisters never played the 17.03 , it's was Sex Gang Children this day .
And on the B side there are the usual mixing desk considered until June 2017 Brixton Ace 06.04.1983 .But we have known since my June 2017 post and with the witnessing of R. Jackson that this is Brixton Ace 10.03.1983 from mixing desk.

So there is a rip of the Halloween In Arkham vinyl on Side A of that tape and possibly a rip of the Monochrome bootleg-CD
with the original mixing desk recording (missing Valentine) on Side B, both with wrong dates as time and research have only recently shown ... :D ...

Anyway, I've changed these pages now ...
