Time for GW2 to start properly. May I formally welcome you to the newly refurbished Batcave. Note the many new shades of black paint, skillfully placed to complement each other and promote that maximum darkness effect. Our new cobweb suppliers have been very busy draping gracefully. We also have a new kitchen, so any culinary request can be catered for. This week we have Steve's request, plus homemade popcorn, cheesecake, choc chip cookies and a dazzling array of bacon butties.
Apparently there's football on as well. Steve has
lovingly summed up last week's action, so we can swiftly move on to wondering how long De Bruyne will be out and JoMo in. At least Chelski players can now vent their feelings. Nothing unexpected has happened so far, so it'll probably go haywire on Saturday. As long as Spurs don't wear that kit! Obviously De Bruyne is out, and out of the other players that anyone's heard of, Dier and Richarlison both have knocks.
The future and the possibilities:
Saturday 18 August
Cardiff 12:30 Newcastle
Both need to play all out. Newcastle will be playing in a variety of menswear brands. This will cause confusion in both ranks.
Everton 15:00 Southampton
Everton reborn. They'll win this comfortably.
Leicester 15:00 Wolves
Heck. My nearest ancestral home city vs the team whom I saw from the womb. I'm not calling that one.
Spurs 15:00 Fulham
Naturally Spurs. Can you do the Dele?
West Ham 15:00 Bournemouth T
he Hammers will recover from thwir drubbing lst week, but only just.
Chelsea 17:30 Arsenal
Nil - Nil. In big letters.
Sunday 19 August
Burnley 13:30 Watford
Burnley to win.
Man City 13:30 Huddersfield
If Huddersfield win this one, it's going to be very strange indeed. Mahrez will shine.
Brighton 16:00 Man Utd
Brighton are going to make this very difficult and Pogba will get sent off.
Monday 20 August
Crystal Palace 20:00 Liverpool
Ooer. Palace doing well, but Liverpool are juggernaughting along. An exciting game with a Reds win.
So there we are. That's this week sorted - no need to play.
See you on the other side somewhere!

I know of one pub on the Wirral, admittedly of a rather Red bias, that now refers to Everton as Farcelona after their influx of Catalan bloodstock this summer.

Yikes....might explain why I did so poorly last week. Normally start well and it heads downhill from there.

Oh, it's a chicken.
I thought it was some kind of viking hat with blonde braids.

not unhappy with points score this week - i haven't anyone in tonight's game. everyone else in the world has Salad! but there's always a chance he won't score, perhaps?
JoMo isn't going to last much longer if he carries on his spoiled 3 yr old act.

I'm not on your league, but De Bruyne out until November has f**ked me over
And I left Tripper on the bench for 2 games running, and he'd have been the highest scoring player on my squad.
I'm s**t at this.

Start of the season's always a bit bumpy.
I had Leroy Sane starting the past 2 weeks & he's been benched both matches.

it happens all season, Boss, don't worry.
Trippier's on my bench too.

So do I take if from this that you’re all terrible too? 😂
I’m part of a Manchester St. Pauli league. We’re running it to raise money for a local charity that works with refugee women. Entry is £5 and the winner gets a tshirt, stickers, badges and any other MSP merch we can get together in that time.
If anyone really wanted to enter, they could chuck their fivers over by following the details on this page:
https://mancstpauli.co.uk/2018/08/02/ms ... mpetition/
As I say, it’s all for a good cause.

Noted, Boss
we have our moments at being terrible. It's like teaching. sometimes the buggers just won't do what they're supposed to do... luck plays a big part too. can't legislate for half your team injuring itself in the last 24 hours before a GW. at least the transfer window is mostly shut now.
but yes, a lot of us are terrible :p
