I have just heard the news that "King" Carlos Ezquerra, co-creator of Judge Dredd (and many more) has passed away today.

I was lucky enough to meet him at what turned out to be one of his last public appearances (Oldham comic-con, 12 May this year) where I got him to sketch Angelina DiGriz

Gutted just doesn't cut it.

We got him to do a Judge Anderson last year. Such a lovely, gentle man.

Totally blindsided by this when I read it, he was the first artist to make an impact, going all the way back to Starlord and Johnny Alpha
