Evening all!
After all the excitement of GW21 (see the excellent round up from The Shed) and the million FA cup goals, we can move on the hallowed ground of GW22. So called because it has two twos in it :D The glories on offer are:

Saturday 12 January

West Ham 12:30 Arsenal This should be a proper scrap and if there aren't disciplinary issues it'll be unusual. A draw hotly fought.
Brighton 15:00 Liverpool Liverpool to win, but not without a scare
Burnley 15:00 Fulham Fulham to win 3-0, as it's about time.
Cardiff 15:00 Huddersfield Huddersfield are going down
Crystal Palace 15:00 Watford This could go anywhichway. Goals!
Leicester 15:00 Southampton A draw, 4-4.
Chelsea 17:30 Newcastle An upset of monumental proportions

Sunday 13 January

Everton 14:15 Bournemouth Everton to win with 10 men.
Spurs 16:30 Man Utd Can Spurs stop the winning streak? Will Ole be disappointed? Go Spurs!

Monday 14 January

Man City 20:00 Wolves Wolves are on a roll, City back to winning ways. Neither will back down so it will be the one to watch this week

Injury news - Aguero and Kompany listed as doubtful. Charlie Austin just confirmed as suspended for two months by Southampton, for making abusive gestures. In other news, keep an eye on Arnautovich and Ramsey's transfer sagas. Otherwise, the transfer window has been very very quiet.

Up and at 'em!

The Beeb having a debate on what colour Arsenal's shirt is.
The manufacturer calls it Biscay Green.
The Beeb's readers cal it...
The "We can do a teal away kit better than Spurs" shirt?
Sean, Carshalton

Arsenal's shirt........is a shade of green I'd expect to see somewhere in Hyacinth Bucket's house
Mike, Chester

Bilious Green covers it I think.

David Graham: I think the shirt manufacturers are right. That's certainly the colour of my face most times in the Bay of Biscay

Mwangi: The Arsenal shirt is goat-gallbladder green.

H: Surely Arsenal's shirt colour is a lovely shade of Aggressive Peppermint

Brent Marrow: The result of eating too much mint choc chip ice cream perhaps

Sam Overton: Arsenal's kit looks like they are the Miami Dolphins. And dolphins can't play football.

James Reader: "Running track protective covering" green is a bit long winded... Biscay it is

it's a legitimate concern!

In other news, Charlton's defender Charlotte Kerr was pretty seriously injured in the game v Man U this afternoon. The game was called off after an hour after an hour, and after Charlotte was taken to hospital.

Some absolute arsewipe of an idiot replied to the tweet with 'Hormones?'
Not f**king funny, mate, not even nearly.

Best wishes to Charlotte.

Wagner's left Uddersfield.
That's really sad. He performed miracles to get them into the premier league & keep them there for a season

It is, and he certainly did.

Charlotte Kerr update - she's now left hospital. The club say that she had badly bruised ribs and sternum, but it could have been a lot worse if she hadn't had the treatment from professional immediately.
An hour's treatment on the pitch before they moved her. Sounds awful :(

In a week dominated by Spygate, VAR and summat else I can't remember (only talking about football, the rest of the news is a complete headfuck), only one thing is clear.
The Sisters of Mercy are playing in London in September.

Until then, GW22:

West Ham 1-0 Arsenal Nasri makes his mark on return - maybe a good buy at 35.5m? Arsenal lose again.
Brighton 0-1 Liverpool Klopp describes it as a very good game. Only one goal but great entertainment.
Burnley 2 - 1 Fulham All goals scored by Fulham. For Heaven's sake!
Cardiff 0-0 Huddersfield Expected?
Crystal Palace 1-2 Watford There were goals, all scored by Watford. Good grief.
Leicester 1 - 2 Southampton About time, for the Saints.
Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle It was looking ok for the Toons for a while, but that there Willian spoiled the almost party. Darn.
Everton 2-0 Bournemouth Everton with all the goals, all the bonuses and all of the 5 yellow cards. 7 saves from Pickford, including an almost disaster, so they didn't have it all their own way.
Spurs 0-1 Man Utd Dammit! But De Gea won this one for Utd, with 11 saves of superb quality. Lloris made 7. A great game, except for the result, obvs. Spurs now missing Son, Kane and Dembele, who's left the club today.

Man City 3-0 Wolves What the bleeding hell were Wolves doing? Even before Boly got sent off early, It was all one way. Jesus having a rebirth. Or back from the dead, well before Easter.

With that, the table looks like this:

Image

IGM nearly won! and had a good week in general. Play up, all! There's a long way to go to catch BB&S but we can get EIB.

The yellow Jersey belongs to Dead Men Walking

Image

The Big Shout Out for 70 points goes to Klopps and Robos

Image

In the H2H, Brian Munich holds the Crown

and the placings don't change.

So onwards to GW23, which hasn't got nearly as nice a name.

Watch those transfer deals, kids.

No it isn't. He wasn't good enough, so on he goes.

His behaviour during a game against Leeds Utd was simply unacceptable, won't be forgotten.
