Yes, in London the words are more intelligible. Sounds like a song just as exciting as Show Me ...

This song suffered major changes last night innit?
Ben is no longer playing the natural harmonics on the main riff, we have now some words on the 'break', and I might be wrong here, but I feel like they even changed the chorus lyrics a wee bit too.

Carl Mullen Just now
How I hear Better Reptile:
BETTER REPTILE
See you sat here, see you swim,
your swollen lips and your rainbow hips,
crawl back on the eclipse,
crawl inside and stay,
Close the air, close the air, close the air another scare
Close the air, close the air, close the air to shed your skin
BE A BETTER REPTILE,
SHED YOUR SKIN,
BE A BETTER REPTILE,
SHED YOUR SKIN,
BE A BETTER REPTILE,
SHED YOUR SKIN,
BE A BETTER REPTILE,
Close the air, close the air, close the air to another scare,
Close the air, close the air, close the air to shed your skin
BE A BETTER REPTILE
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER REPTILE
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER REPTILE
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER, BETTER, BETTER,
Gold in the face, gold in the face, gold in the face, gold in the face
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER REPTILE
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER REPTILE
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER REPTILE
SHED YOUR SKIN
BE A BETTER
Will check later myself.

near meth experience:
your neon hips
more recently:
your rainbow hips
another scare -> another sin
Close the air -> close again (or closing in?)

Oh, good point, I didn't do the AB ones so it could have changed.

Second “closing in, for another sin, imo.
Also, regrettably, second “coldâ€ instead of “goldâ€. 😉

I thought the opening lines might be
I see you slither, I see you slip
You (something) on lips, you read on hips
"Another sin" or "northern scene"?
Any ideas as to what it means though? I guess it could either be an insult -if you're a reptile, make like a proper one and shed your slimy skin- or a benign call to transcend yourself/the past. If it's the 1st, maybe the association of reptiles with politics since the Reptile House suggests who the song might be meant for.

Very definitely "cold in her veins" rather than "gold in the face".

Just logged in for the first time in months simply to say: This song managed to revitalise my enthusiasm for the sisters. I adore it, it's amazing. and the Antwerp show is by far my favourite performance as of yet. Anybody got a recording from last night?

I am hearing this as a thematic sequel to Anaconda.

They made us wear T-shirts with "reptile" on the back at least so far back as the 90´s when I began listening to them. Nasty term. Why oh, have they not made T-shirts with "Better reptile" on them? That would be hilarious!

Ever since it debuted (and then sank ignominiously beneath the waves) I've been hearing it as "closing in to the north of sin" but of course I have no idea what that might possibly
mean which is why I think it is almost certainly wrong and never suggested it before. It sounds like nonsense to me, but it is also what I seem to hear. Good song though. I hope it comes back but I doubt it will.
