Oh, I thought it was 'you're lovely' - but I do have a notoriously tin ear.

After a couple of listens on headphones here's my first pass, building on iesus's start above
Genevieve I think you love me
Genevieve I've made you mine
Genevieve I think you love me
But Genevieve it's time
In all the [phases? faces? spaces?]
But Genevieve it's time
Genevieve you know I love you
I know you've made me mine
Genevieve in all the [phases? faces? spaces?]
It's time
Genevieve I think you love me
I've made you cry, I've made you mine
Genevieve I think you love me
But Genevieve it's time
It's time
It's just the time
Genevieve, for all the [phases? faces? spaces?]
for all the time
Too many [phases? faces? spaces?]
It's time
Genevieve I think you love me
I've made you cry, I've made you mine
Genevieve I think you love me
But Genevieve it's time
(It's time)
It's time,
But Genevieve it's time
[xxx xxx]
But Genevieve it's time

I guess you have it nailed.
And I have a suggestion to make as to what it is about. Genevieve, a saint and heroess to Paris, was known for her welfare, her caring for ths sick and poor.
I'll interpret Her as symbol for Paris which I'll in turn take as symbol for the EU here.
Here's a Briton singing a farewell to a symbol of fro the EU then, (That nursed the sick and poor, wales, Northern Ireland, former coal- and industrial regions the Tories and banks didn't even consider worth a coup de grâce?)
Could this be the long awaited comment of a political animal to Brexit?
Wrapping this up in a lovesong would be a very eldritch thing to do!
Genevieve, I think you're lovely
I made you cry, I made you mine
Genevieve, I think you're lovely
But Genevieve, it's time
I mean we knew that already but nice to see it finally confirmed!
Still a bit short, innit?
You took the bridge and it is burned ... ...

I've come to a place where I think this is a song about the fairer sex in general but couched as a song to one woman.

Yeah, it reminds me of those situations, when it's not easy to leave things at that ... but I wouldn't build a stereotype from that.
Although, it is, of course, playing with stereotypes ...

I mean Genevieve as a girl’s name but also Genevieve as a collective noun. I love you all but it’s time to move on because I am committed to one.

Ah, now I get what you mean ... yes, that's a lovely take ... ... soo much better than these sickening stereotypes ... ...
