They really are a good sport & always reply to fans who @ them by accident on the twitters but now they are making it clear in their biog

I suppose it can be taken as an indication of increased profile for the band

I sat opposite three elderly nuns (may not have been Sisters of Mercy) in Austria last year. I was a bit embarrassed about my Sisters t-shirt as, atheism aside, I don't ever want to be critical of anyone's faith. Nothing I could do, so, and I felt so much better when one of them raised her small beer to me and smiled.

(Not that wearing a Sisters t-shirt is being critical... I explained that all very badly)

An old friend of mine used to have the "jesus shooting up" artwork from Christian Death's "sex & drugs & jesus christ" album painted on the back of his leather back in the very early 90s.

In the second year at uni he moved into a house 200 yards from a nun's chapter house (or whatever they're called).

That was awkward for him.
