First off sorry if this isn't the right section to post this in, I wasn't sure since it has to do with the Merciful Release label. If this is the wrong place please feel free to delete or move the post!

So I was just browsing spotify today at work, and noticed that James Ray and the Performance was added on spotify sometime this year (at least in the US) under a compilation album called 'Merciful Releases 1986-1989'. I wonder if we could see anymore of the Merciful Release back catalog get more attention, maybe even a new release of Scoda Blush's album since I can't seem to find any uploads of it online.

Here's a link:

Also, is this a newer compilation? I haven't heard of it until now.

I saw this too, on Deezer, and wondered if it’s purely a re-release of the Dustboat compilation from several years ago? There’s a similar Gangwar compilation on there too, which could be a re-release of the Destination Assassination collection.

They're on Tidal as well, but still no sign of the Third Generation stuff which is a shame. Must be locked up in some kind of contractual hell.

Seems Gangwar was added as well. Both Performance and Gangwar are on Applemusic too!

Late to the party ...

Adding my thanks for pointing this out, I've heard the first two but not Black Hearted Riders, looking forward to remedying that shortly.

Worth noting James is on iTunes now.
Can we all get hopeful for any other debuts digitally?
Of course I’m thinking Gift.

so can we expect a £50 record store day limited edition glittery black vinyl release, and five minutes after we have crawled across broken glass to get a copy the announcement that there will be a £7 CD the following month?
