RIP Anne Rice -Author of Interview With The Vampire & The Vampire Lestat etc.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

a least she has the necessary vocabulary to come out with that. can you imagine say Dan Brown or (URGGH!) Stephanie Meyer being that articulate?

I think Dan Brown has probably written more books than he's read.

As for Stephenie (and yes, that is how she spells it) Meyer, well, rationalwiki's takedown is hilarious.

I think you could argue that Interview With The Vampire kicked off the "urban fantasy" genre as a whole. I definitely don't think we'd have had anything like Buffy without Anne Rice. RIP.

The Interview with a Vampire movie made impact on me when watched it. Hadn't had the chance to read her books, but i gave the feeling that she must be a good writer. Rip :bat:
