GW23 - Deadline Friday 21 Jan 18.30 PM

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Evening! Yet another GW has thrust itself upon us with a Friday start. What a lovely week this is ;D Just because!
Let's have a look at the fixtures - things seem a little back to normal just for the week but don't quote me on that, anything could happen:

Friday 21 January 2022
Watford 20:00 Norwich Come On You Yellows!
UK - Sky Sports

Saturday 22 January 2022
Everton 12:30 Aston Villa Will Coutinho make another massive impact? How will Duncan Ferguson get on? Questions!
UK - BT Sport

Brentford 15:00 Wolves I think this will be a humdinger, with Brentford nailing it.
Leeds 15:00 Newcastle Both can play excellently, but when is a completely different kettle of macaroni.
Man Utd 15:00 West Ham I feel Utd will get turned over big time.
Southampton 17:30 Man City Either a complete annihilation or City will get one back.
UK - Sky Sports

Sunday 23 January 2022
Arsenal 14:00 Burnley Burnley losing would be really handy for the Canaries, not like I'm wishing anyone ill or owt
Crystal Palace 14:00 Liverpool Hmmm. Hard to call.
UK - Sky Sports
Leicester 14:00 Brighton Leicester might well want to be tight at the back for a change
Chelsea 16:30 Spurs Given last night's game, Spurs might give a better account of themselves than the last time they played Chelsea. Not bitter or owt.
UK - Sky Sports

Look to your teams, check who's available and keep an eye on the transfer market.

Good luck!

The FPL recently changed their settings because of the latest hack to limit transfers to just 20 in any given GW.
They can restore teams but, according to them, can't undo any transfers that may have been made.
One of my guys (Team WMS) had his team hacked (on his birthday of all days). Thankfully this was after the 20 transfer limit was applied. But he's had to undo the 15 transfers that were made by using his remaining free hit chip so as not to take a massive hit.
Prior to the transfer limit, this is what was happening

Hacked teams were also added to other leagues, & had their name changed

Cheers.

AAAAAGGGHHHHHH time has run away with everything! This GW lasted nearly as long as January in all of its 56954549 day glory. Sorry, people. Umm... Norwich won and Spurs lost, that's all you need to know.
Tables:

In the classic, it is what it has been so far - BB&S, IGN and EIB in that order. Not a fab scoring week.

The Yellow Jersey is still with Dead Men Walking

whilst the Big Shout Out went to Bloody Sister with 52.

Over on the H2H, after a VAR incident, It is the same league placings but IGM plummeted on the week's points.

And as usual, the Crown is glued to Dead Men Walking. I might get him in when I play my wildcard.

Anyway.... The next GW came swiftly after the end of this one, and it all happened over in the Shed.

On to GW25!
