Sisters covers - the data

I waded through all the Sisters covers I could find on SoundCloud, so that you don't have to.

Why SoundCloud?
- I'm interested in amateur and semi-pro covers, we know the established artists already
- SoundCloud is quite searchable
- I hate YouTube

Here's the data:

Code: Select all

27	Alice
21	Marian
11	Temple Of Love
6	Body Electric
6	Burn
6	Dominion
6	Driven Like The Snow
6	Nine While Nine
6	Something Fast
6	This Corrosion
5	Black Planet
5	First And Last And Always
5	Floorshow
5	Heartland
5	More
5	No Time To Cry
5	Valentine
4	1959
4	Fix
4	I Was Wrong
4	Walk Away
3	Adrenochrome
3	Never Land
3	Poison Door
3	Vision Thing
3	We Are The Same Suzanne
2	Anaconda
2	Some Kind Of Stranger
2	Train
2	When You Don't See Me
2	The Damage Done
1	A Rock And A Hard Place
1	Afterhours
1	Amphetamine Logic/Some Kind Of Stranger
1	Arms
1	Black Sail
1	Blood Money
1	Body And Soul
1	Colours
1	Flood II
1	Good Things
1	I Have Slept With All The Girls In Berlin
1	Jihad
1	Kiss The Carpet
1	Lights
1	Lucretia,My Reflection
1	Ribbons
1	Show Me
1	Summer
1	Torch
1	Torch/Never Land
1	You Could Be The One
Some random observations:
  • Driven Like The Snow stands out as a strange entry in the top 10, more popular that FALAA, Black Planet, Floorshow and Heartland.
  • Vision Thing is surprisingly low down the list, less popular even than Fix.
In terms of tracks released by different lineups, the Eldritch/Marx/Adams/Gunn iteration is the clear leader:

Code: Select all

77	Reptile House
58	FALAA
36	Floodland
17	Vision Thing
8	post-VT live only
2	Damage/Watch
EDIT: corrected an error in the above table.

Discover any diamonds do I hear you ask?
Maybe, maybe. Lots of good 'uns, but here are some that stood out to me:

Fwuffy Da Destwoyah - I Was Wrong . Who knew the track needs a real good thrash. Makes me think of the Macc Lads.

SkinjoB - V'THANG. Yes, it's Vision Thing. One of the few covers is this techno monstrosity.

lukascollision - More. On a solo Ukelele.

If you read this far, maybe you'd like a link to the playlist.

You missed mine.

Sorry.

Pretty sure this is the only cover on Soundcloud of Still.

I see what happened there - your complete lack of tagging or Sisters references in the title or comments defeated my search-fu...

...as did this other guy:

Let me add: I have found a lot more. The linked playlist has more than doubled in size and the data in the OP is very inaccurate.
Lucretia is way, way out in front. My original analysis was defeated by the wide variety of track titling people use for it, but I have improved my search-fu.
